Still no names for layoffs. Checked want ads; cannot possibly express how much I don't want to compete with thousands of other unemployed applicants for entry level admin jobs with part-time hours and minimum wage.

I have more questions but those are top of mind at the moment.

My superpower might be my ability to go from more-than-okay to a comical mess in less than four seconds.

People laughed at me in high school when I said as a grown up I wanted to be independently wealthy, but dammit that's still my goal.

That way I could invest in a bakery/bookstore somewhere without having to do the, you know, actual work and get up at ungodly hours of the morning, which I hate doing. And I could write without the incipient sense of failure that I never write anything publishable. Plus, I could be kind to widows and orphans and homeless puppies. < / my emo whinging >

Well, I'll grant that you called it first, but since your independent wealth is imaginary I don't feel too out of line assuming that you would be my patron and sponsor me to be a dreamy artist who writes you a lot of fanfic. :)

Seriously, I recall declaring as a child that I wanted to be "rich and famous" (sometime after also declaring I wanted to be an astronaut).

I've since decided to skip the famous, but "rich" is still what I want to be when I grow up! Ok, actually, a fashion designer, but rich would be an excellent adjunct to that.
