I will be writing the Ares pilot and, I guess, subsequent episodes if I run out of pilot before I run out of words.

I'm totally crazy! But honestly, it will be unbelievably nice to bury my head in something other than my life for a month (well, another month, because sparktober was pretty darned efficient at that too!). It's like that old saying, when the going gets tough, the tough get enabled to do nanowrimo.

Heh. It was my sooper-sekrit fake identity when I was posting my Mary Sue to the comicfanfic list. Nowadays, she's just an adjunct, and since no one else was using it... =D

Hee! When I was little, my screen name was totally the same as my Mary Sue. I thought that was clever, like every other thirteen year old out there writing about alien princesses. ;)

I kind of really want to start writing her again. Just to see if she ever grew up and became awesome? Because even though she was my precious Mary Sue, even I knew she was annoying as hell. *pets her*

My Mary Sue's name is Marya Louisa Susanna DeZorga. So I did sort of steal it. ;D

Of course, the original was Nykola Anyaita Taylor.

But Marya is far closer to my heart. =D She was designed to be annoying and Mary Sue and ridiculously over-the-top. AND YET. Still awesome.

Mine was Ella Zarian Janeway (yes, of The Family Janeway), and she was the vessel for all my epic aaaaangst about some things that were happening in my life at age 13. It's a little brutal when I read it as an adult (and funny that I thought it was TOTALLY FICTION at the time - I guess we always do that!).

We should totally start a Grown-Up Mary Sue challenge so that we have an excuse to write our girls again and actually post them for the world. ;)
