Brother, can you spare a word?

Please comment with one word. (Scrabble rules do not apply - the word can be a person, place, or slang.)
I will write a drabble-ish length reply. It might be fic, it might be original, it might be memory, might be, I don't know, a definition? A recipe? A made-up word origin?
I promised last night that I would make art every chance I get and am having a bit of a hard time getting started when hulu is right there with ten thousand shows I don't need to watch.
Help? :)
(p.s. if you want to do this exercise too, I promise to give you a word!)

Date: 2009-12-05 11:14 pm (UTC)Eric builds her a stable, and lavishes jewelry on her, and gardens, and time. She doesn't feel empty when he's there, not the way she does when he's conducting affairs of state and she's left at their summer castle by the water, watching the governess teach her children to swim.

That is so pretty. And perfect. I said Ariel because she's my favourite Disney princess, and I have a little picture of her on the wall next to my computer, and I have no idea what I was expecting... You've captured her 'other'-ness and the angst she must feel but Disney will never recognize just perfectly. Thank you!
