Okay, I actually regret turning off the game last night, because fielders were pitching and pitchers were fielding and that's probably about as hilarious as a 13-0 loss can be.

I don't have a dreamwidth account, not so much out of personal politics or anything as that I am way behind the news curve and feel daunted by the idea of having to figure out something new. (My brain cells are kind of like Boston pitching yesterday -- scattered injuries, overworked, and getting lost somewhere out in left field.) Am I gunna lose all my frenz? DO U STILL LUV MEEEE?

I thought I had swine flu this morning, but then I ate a bagel and felt better. I can't decide if I want to freak out about this thinly spread epidemic or not. The numbers on the CDC site make it seem so bland that the cynic in me thinks this is all a big diversionary tactic, and next week we'll discover that we invaded England or something while no one was looking. However, CDC people also say "this could mutate and kill everyone in like ten seconds," so I will err on the side of not putting unsterilized objects in my mouth, nose or eyes.

I cannot get up the oomph to do a darned thing this week. I'm brushing up on my telekenesis by staring at the piles of to-dos on my desk and attempting to will them to do themselves.

Dreamwidth is ridiculously shiny, and works pretty much exactly like LJ, only with extra awesome. I think I will probably migrate over there entirely, soon.

I am glad a bagel cured your not!swine flu, yes. If your country must invade, can you invade Scotland so you can come hang out with me?

I have watched a ridiculous amount of TOS today. I blame you entirely. Oh, the crack.

*clings tightly*

It is most impressive crack, yes. I am in awe of how many times Shatner has ripped his shirt off in the episodes I have watched today.

ALSO. Um. Would you, by any chance, like some Star Trek books? Because I am no longer going to be living in my mother's house (OMGYAY), so I need to get rid of my Vast Collection, but I would like them to go to a good home, so...um, yes. Trek books? Lots of them?

I am SOOOO HAPPEEEEE that you are not going to be living in your mom's house! For your mom causes you angst and makes u crazy. It is bettar to luv her from a safe distance, I think, yah?

I LOOOOVE Trek Books, but you should find another recipient that will take less postage, as I already have text-only versions of liek EVERY TREK BOOK EVAR thanks to a torrent found somewheres. It's AWSUM. I just realized now that I should be reading more of those! But your books must go to a good home, yes. There will have to be someone WORTHY, teehee.

For true, not living in my mother's house will be MADE OF WIN. I am so excited that I now only ever have to go back there when I WANT TO. eeeeeeeeee. thisissoawesome!

I have that same torrent, hai. I have put them all onto stanza, so now I have every Trek Book EVAR on my iphone. It is ridiculously shiny. So, yes, I will attempt to find somebody WORTHY (because my books need to be loved) for the Trek books. *nods*

ALSO. I am watching TOS, and it is your fault entirely that I spent the better part of today trying to find good Uhura/Chapel fic. (I watched "What Are Little Girls Made Of", and hi, Uhura and Chapel kissed, and then Uhura touched her mouth all happy-like. it was adorable!)
