Sister and I might adopt 2 more rats today.

Wait, wait, I know what you're thinking. "Won't that be 29 rats!? Are you absolutely nutcakes?"

I've got two arguments for you:

ONE.

TWO.

(And yes, we're absolutely nutcakes. We have rats in every room of the house. These little ratlets will need to go through decon be quarrantined in the bathroom.)

We haven't placed them on hold, because the universe might want to save us from ourselves... but if those little cutepies are still available at the humane society after work today, they will be joining the Geek!Rat commune.

They are two boys, currently named "Seamus" and "Neville." Those names are considerably awesome, but anyone have any better (read: geekier eta: Star Trekkier) suggestions?

Edit: Sanity has overtaken us temporarily. We will actually just go home and play with the 27 rats we already have, despite my desire to play with omgbabyrats! If they haven't been adopted by Thursday, we'll consider it a sign from the universe that they need to join the geek!rat commune.

Sadly my office is woefully understaffed right now so I can't get away for wedding-of-noradannan and house-seeing. :( :( :( I cannot even express my sad about this! But omg, someday I will be back in New England and I will come play with your garden snakes and help you weed things and it'll be DELIGHTFUL.

It looks like I'm not going to get the Wicked Awesome Promotion I was hoping for, but if I get even the Semi-Awesome Promotion, I am totally buying a house for my rat commune. It'll be FABOO. Yay!

And sadly I am an idiot with an incredibly poor sense of timing and accidentally scheduled both my parents' visit-from-faraway and my housewarming party for the same day as the wedding-of noradannan, which I won't be there, either, even though the wedding is only two and a half hours away from where I live. Boo.

OMG, are you all coming to PIEMASS?? Have you heard about PIEMASS? (I can't remember who was in on that original email conversation...) December 21st, a Friday, an East Coast gathering of holiday-themed pie, for folk of the Pi persuasion. Because last year it was INSANE trying to get everyone who was East For The Holidays in one place, this year we are Planning In Advance. Location? MY HOUSE!!!
