Exclamation Points Bring Joy, v. 2.0

So here's what I'm actually thinking: I could use one or more of the following: 1) a less stressful job, 2) better medication, 3) a hole in the head.
However, that is counter-productive! Therefore, NEW PLAN that I will call gleee 2.0: Sister and I have come up with a fantabulous game to keep ourselves positive on our Commute Of Long Assedness, the Five Things I Love About ____ game. Kind of like the "omg, have rage about THIS!" meme that was so big last year, except... the opposite, and in bullet point format.
I'll start!
5 things I love about
lifelongfling:
1) She sended me a Grand Valley State University shirt so that I can pretend to have gone to her school!
2) She showed me MICHIGAN and we played in the pet store section of Meier in the middle of the night.
3) She leaves me phone messages addressing me as "psychic twin"!
4) She once let me talk to her for, like, 45 minutes on the phone when I was standing in Michaels' unable to pick out yarn.
5) We both love Over the Rhine! She even changed her lj screen name to be named after a totally kickass song! Shared loff for that band, zomg.
Pleez give me things/people/fandom items/vague concepts to have love for! (You are allowed to vote for yourself.)

2) People are friendly and talk to you on the street/train/etc and they don't even want anything from you.
3) THE MAX. It is the light railway OF LOVE.
4) In Eastern Oregon every time you drive around a curve it looks like you are on another alien planet. SERIOUSLY, the desert is funky-looking and cool!
5) Ramona Quimby is from here.
Your turn! Tell me five things you love about... er... kitties!

Date: 2006-10-31 10:21 pm (UTC)1) I loff your adorable kewtness wif the spellings and the whatnot!
2) You introduced me to STAR TREK BOOKS ON TAPE, omg!
3) You have unprecedented SWEETNESS in you! You are extra super sweetly nice and randomly ping me with a comment to say you are thinking of me and that makes me happy ALL DAY. You are BRINGER OF JOY, w00t.
4) You are mega-inspirational, baby. When I am all "EEK I AM TEH CRAZEH!" you are all "DUDE I KNOW! Now here is a practical suggestion and a virtual hug!" and that is the bestest possible remedy, yay. You are such a necessary friend for me! :) Your support in the whole ACK I THINK I AM CRAZEH AND NEED DRUGZ phase of a year ago was totally necessary, so you can take credit for my occasional sanity ;).
5) You are my animal-cuteness-dealer! You spam me with kewtness photos and stories of THOR and occasionally even videos!
p.s. your screen name is similar enough to my REAL name that I totally just choked answering the phone when I almost said "Hi this is Spooooooooosachi!"

Date: 2006-10-31 11:09 pm (UTC)Wintah is my season of joy!
1) It is so BRIGHT AND SHINY! Especially December with all the pretty lights everywhere!
2) It is very CRISP. I love that, when it's cold but it feels nice because it's not windy and the sky is totallyperfectlyclear.
3) Woodstove heat is the best kind of heat EVER and the only time I am truly warm!
4) SNOW DAYS and BLIZZARDS and dramatic weather that keeps you locked up inside *with* your woodstove!
5) Snow is TANGIBLE EVIDENCE THAT GOD LOVES MEEEE with all its bright swirly shininess!
... wintahs in Oregon are not much like that, tho. Oh well! Summers here are soooo nice though, much better than in New England. (I might grow up to be the only person ever to winter in New England...)
THINGS ABOUT YOUUUU:
1) You send pikshurz of yourself sticking your tongue out!! I still remember random pikshurz sent to me at one point of you making faces. Hee!
2) You remember meeee and comment often and it is so sweet!
3) You have excellent taste in fandom pairings. :-P And write adorably for them, too!
4) Your screen name always reminds me of teh X-Files, which is a fantabulous thing to be reminded of!!
5) You are 100% kewt! I have not met you in person but have heard your voice on the phone and read your posts and your comments and you are 100% kewt even when you are feeling less than up to snuff. Mwahahaha! Nothing can interfere with your kewtness! IT SHINES THROUGH, so there. :-P

Date: 2006-11-01 05:55 am (UTC)Hehe, I bet New England winters are more eventful than winters in the South- where nothing happens, it's just grungy and sludgy, but everyone freaks out like we got 28 inches of snow when it's only 2. :) I wish it snowed here!
Spring here is what I bet summer there is, right? That's probably my favorite.
Hehee, I like taking pictures like that! In fact, no matter what, there's at least one picture of me doing that in every batch! *knows how omg!wrong this will sound, but says it anyway and blames the late hour* My tongue will not stay in my mouth!!! *giggles*
Mwuah! Hehee Was that last fall when you heard me on the phone? (It feels like forever ago, man) I didn't get to hear yooooouuuu! *sad*
*tacklehug*
You always make me smile and I just want to thank you for that.

Date: 2006-11-01 06:49 pm (UTC)New England winters are loverly -- they are much less loverly here in Oregon, but also warmer, so I suppose it is a tradeoff!!
Oh, you and your wandering tongue...
You didn't get to hear meeee?? Well iffen you call me at work I sound All Professional (mi voice is on the voicemail even!) but when not at work I sound all girly and high-pitched and stuff.

Date: 2006-11-01 07:06 pm (UTC)2) The friendship! Totally and TOTALLY the best part of DRR, because they are so super important in each other's lives and Cannot Lose Each Other even without it being sexual or romantic.
3) She knows him sooooo well!
4) Now this isn't "happy" so much as something I really do love about the DRR... but I like how he doesn't always treat her well. She's a bit of his emotional punching bag, because she's THERE and the only one who will stick around for that, and it's kind of pathetic in some ways from her perspective, but OH! The angst, it is DELISH! And it means that he feels safe with her in some deep way and and and...!
5) Deep down, he really admires and respects her and wants to be like her, even if he can't totally put his finger on how or why. :)

Date: 2006-11-01 09:21 pm (UTC)But I can do rats in an itemized format:
1) They are SO SOFT! And the rex rats are really warm too, especially Porthos.
2) They always run to us if we open the door or put our fingers in the cage. :) It is lovely to feel wanted!
3) America (baby boy) does the cutest thing ever -- he is a little swimmer! I give him a dish of water and he'll dunk his whole head in and lick at the bottom of the bowl, come up for air, and then dunk his head back in!
4) Dot (baby girl) keeps escaping from her cage in the middle of the night and sneaking into my bed to curl up next to me on my pillow!
5) They will ride on my shoulders and hang around me while I am watching TV or doing chores at home! Constant company! :)

Date: 2006-11-01 02:32 pm (UTC)Five things you love about online friendships (or LJ in general).
(And you can do five about Me if you're so inspired, but I don't think you know me well enough for me not to be annoying by asking, so it's totally optional:D)
no subject
Date: 2006-11-01 11:36 pm (UTC)1) There is always, always somebody awake somewhere.
2) Everything you say can be emphasized with pikshurz and creative spelling!
3) It is so easy to compartmentalize your friendships, and so find exactly the sort of squeee you want at any given time! Want to talk about Show X or Y? Talk to so-and-so! Now want to complain about work? This other person! It is a veritable FRIENDSHIP BUFFET. :)
4) It is SO GREAT to have friends who are not immediately involved in my everyday life! This way, they HAVE to take my side in any flailing I might do just be default, since they don't know anyone else!!
5) I learn SO MUCH about different places, different backgrounds and different walks of life just by logging on and chatting about silly things we have in common! How else could I have so many, say, Scottish friends without moving to Scotland?? OMG. LOVE THE INTERNETS.
You are totally fabulous! :)
