Date: 2006-10-08 07:37 pm (UTC)Miera and I were talking about how we should all just trade off and then we can collectively have a social life. You know, like passing the baton or something. ;)

Date: 2006-10-08 11:43 pm (UTC)I read somewhere that Oregon has more mormans than any other state - including Utah - and I totally believe it.
Two of them came to my house last week (Salem) and now - Anyone want a picture of Jesus?

Date: 2006-10-09 03:22 pm (UTC)Did people in other states really play that game? I still have nightmares about it to this day -- in fact, I had to stop naming the people in my wagon after family members. Despite the poor quality of the graphics, it was still pretty emotional when I lost my brother to the Cholera and mom died while crossing the river. But oh the gratification of shooting down a bear. *contented sigh* I could press that spacebar for days.
Will there be margaritas at Oregon Sci-Fi Night Of Joy? I'm in.

Date: 2006-10-09 06:17 pm (UTC)We always named the party members after our family members too, but usually we'd all be playing together. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? Everyone knows you need to caulk the wagon and float it!!" "Shut up! You died of dysentery! You can't talk!"

It's possible we could be persuaded. ;) There will also be popcorn to fling at the TV when the characters do not obey, as that is a necessary component of all Sci-Fi Nights Of Joy. And ice cream, but not so much for flinging.
