Last night, I was in a mosh pit at a Mormon Singles Mixer Dance in Lake O.

*barges in*

I read somewhere that Oregon has more mormans than any other state - including Utah - and I totally believe it.

Two of them came to my house last week (Salem) and now - Anyone want a picture of Jesus?

... dude, really!? I will have to ask them about whether we really have more Mormons than Utah. I'd think they would have mentioned it by now, but then again, there are two Mormon churches within two miles of my house, so...

And what the heck! We didn't get a picture of Jesus! And we even made them Jell-o. ;)

... You are in Oregon, too? *ponders an Oregon Sci-Fi Night Of Joy*

Yup, I'm SO from Oregon.

Did people in other states really play that game? I still have nightmares about it to this day -- in fact, I had to stop naming the people in my wagon after family members. Despite the poor quality of the graphics, it was still pretty emotional when I lost my brother to the Cholera and mom died while crossing the river. But oh the gratification of shooting down a bear. *contented sigh* I could press that spacebar for days.

Will there be margaritas at Oregon Sci-Fi Night Of Joy? I'm in.

Yes, people from everywhere played that game! (In fact, I think that's the only thing most people know about Oregon. Before I moved here, I totally thought Oregon was one of the square prairie states in the midwest -- good thing I checked before starting to drive!)

We always named the party members after our family members too, but usually we'd all be playing together. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? Everyone knows you need to caulk the wagon and float it!!" "Shut up! You died of dysentery! You can't talk!"

It's possible we could be persuaded. ;) There will also be popcorn to fling at the TV when the characters do not obey, as that is a necessary component of all Sci-Fi Nights Of Joy. And ice cream, but not so much for flinging.
