Elizabeth indeed deserves lots of love from all interested parties.
that she assumed without really thinking about it that she was the more mature and knowing person in this relationship almost by default without seriously considering that they could learn from each other, that it was a two way street
I'm not sure that she would really feel that way in all situations... but when she's this overwhelmed by being The Only One left responsible for the city, that mind-set might bleed over into all her personal interactions as well. Which is why she needs a nice boy. It's amazing the things that can be solved with 'ship in fanfic... ;)
