Well, Pete doesn't really have to die if he takes Sarah Far Away From Everything and leaves the OTP alone, does he? Sam and Daniel get to be all distressed that their new relationships broke off (heh heh heh) and run into appropriate consoling arms and Pete and Sarah are off... I don't know, in Indiana somewhere... and everyone's happy! Especially me.
