I <3 this fic. I really wish they had included something like this in the show. It came across as being suprisingly believable for fanfic (this sounds like an insult, I just meant that people always tend to 'mold' the characters a little when they write them) and the logical extension of the replicator incident.
Also, in the continuity of the show, this tracks pretty well with how their relationship progressed during s3 :)
