See, I was only peripherally in the fandom, but, along with the friends who were watching it, *I* thought Janeway became a psycho-lunatic in an increasingly rapid spiral and DESPERATELY wanted them to relieve her of command for everyone's safety. I still loved her, but, DAY-AM was she ever DAMAGED...and I was PISSED at the press stuff where Braga (aka Satan) was saying that "THIS is what makes her a Good Female Captain" when I was going, "No, 'THIS' is what makes her dangerous to herself and others. FIX IT."
I still have REAMS of fic and DISKS and DISKS of fic that I read and adored...and would probably happily revisit (given time and motivation--like if you were HERE and I were sharing).
