Yup, 'tis Janeway! Well, it's Kate, obviously not when she was actually playing Janeway because there'd need to be some alternate reality for Janeway to look that happy, I think.
And yes, it definitely works better with the happy. I'm all for as much happy Voyager fic as possible, because it was one of my first real fandoms and I still love that show ridiculously much. I just want them all to be happy!
