OK! I have lots of exciting things that need doing:
prettylightsfic, about a zillion Christmas presents, digging out my craft space so I have a place to put my sewing machine and clear floor space to cut fabric and whatnot, fixing my vacuum cleaner so I can clean the cleared floor space for fabric-cutting, etc. I also need to clean out my fridge because there are scary old things in there. I clearly need entertainment for this. I had so much fun with my Ensign Ro marathon last week, I think I'll have another themed marathon. And since I know you hang on my every tv-watching decision, I will share it with you! ;)
I call it Das Boy's worst nightmare (he haaaaates this trope), or: The Great Holodeck Adventure Marathon.
Limiting it to only holodeck malfunction episodes would rule out awesome crack like "Fair Haven" and "Hollow Pursuits", but just having a holodeck scene or two would be... like half the episodes in existence, at least. And if we start getting into "but what is a holodeck, really?" then I'd have to rewatch the animated series Shore Leave sequel again, and I already put myself through that once this year. SO. It's decided. Standard holodeck romp fare.
We start in TNG season 1 with the episode I have seen more often than any other Star Trek ever episode: "The Big Goodbye."
Do you love holodeck episodes? Hate them with the burning hellfires of a thousand suns? What's your favorite? Tell meeeeee!

I disliked the Barclay episodes of Voyager. Like... all of them. They were bad. But I really loved him in TNG, and "Hollow Pursuits" is truly hilarious in many ways (though I see why it would put you off because it has a big embarrassment element, and I think I remember you hate that?).
Hmm. Voyager has lots of complicated holodecky stuff. Like "Flesh and Blood" isn't really a holodeck episode, but it's entirely about holograms. And "Killing Game" isn't really a normal holodeck romp either. It's confusing!
(Badda Bing, Badda Bang is actually the greatest thing ever. <3 <3 <3 <3)

Am I the only one who's really disappointed that we never got to see the Alamo??

I love Barclay and his holodeck adventures, and all the Dixon Hill stuff, and of course the adventures of the Voyager crew in the holodeck (Captain Protoooooon). Oh and I do love all the Moriarty holodeck episodes, I don't even care that TNG was way too into the holodeck for like a season there. And Author, Author. WONDERFUL CRACK.
My DS9 memory is failing me though, it's been several years since I last watched that show in its entirety. All I remember is Vic, and playing baseball, and Quark's dirty holo programs.

CAPTAIN PROTON FTW. AHAHAHA. DS9 also had James Bond, which was fabulous.

I never really got into Enterprise, not sure why. I had NO idea how the series ended, but thanks to Hulu I just watched the finale. All I have to say is WTF really? Sheesh.

Man. Seska was awesome.

"digging out my craft space",
as:
"digging out my space craft",
and immediately thought, wow, LittleRed has a space ship?! And then wondered where you'd gotten it stuck so that it needed digging out - a snow drift or a sand dune or something...??
It's amazing what the brain can think of in that microsecond before it realises its error.

I'm biased, because Voyager was my first obsessive fandom love, but I think they had the most fun with holodeck episodes.
