Peeps, I'm in the mood to say nice things to people! (The upside of certain physical ailments is that I'm on vicodin a few days a month and when I'm on vicodin I love everyone.)

So, comment and I will say something nice to you. Because I like you. Yes, you. If you comment anonymously, I'll make something up because you probably have very nice hair and that time you tossed a piece of your sandwich to a squirrel who looked hungry was a really stand-up thing to do.

I admire how capable you are. :) You manage to make magic (in the form of a career! and a place to live! and a life!) with the energy and health you have, and you have great discipline to get things done and hold on to good things. You're so loyal! That's the first thing that comes to mind when I think about you. You stick by your friends, your opinions, and your stupid-cute-OTPs, and they are all lucky to have you! You're also so smart and so funny and that comes across in everything you write: posts, fics, probably the notes field of your personal checks.

And not to subsume your identity into your child's or anything, because I am sure that happens quite enough at every playgroup everywhere, but your 2-year-old went as Spock for Halloween which makes you MOM OF THE CENTURY.

Hee - last night's comment exchange is a perfect example of something I love about you: you're so thorough!! I want to say "so comprehensive" but I'm not sure a person can be comprehensive. You would know, because you know things like that. You study things! You gather ridiculous amounts of supporting documentation! You don't just post things like "I love classic movies, yay," you give specific recommendations and point out things about each I would never have noticed. Your enthusiasm is infectious and all that documentation makes it easy for others to follow you!

You make ordinary things seem extraordinary! You do this in writing, where each word seems specifically chosen, like you've collaged it all together into magic. You do this in person, because I will never look at fire escapes or paper grocery bags the same way again. This also makes you a great enabler, because you make any project or idea or challenge sound like it's full of mystique and we all flock to you to be part of it!

You endlessly impress me, because you do everything on such a grand scale! The big bang you run is a perfect example - other people think, "I'll write a story," and you think, "I will write a really long story and get the entire internet to do the same thing!" I admire the same thing in your writing: you take simple ideas and spin them out into these great epics that run at a relentless pace.
