hunting season

I'm now officially a multi-shipper.

Fandom: CSI, Original Gangsta Version. Pairings SO FAR -- keep in mind I've only seen half of seasons 1 and 2 to date:

1) Catherine/Grissom. It is like Crusher/Picard, but with more pole-dancing! (He's a socially awkward academic who knows everything about everything, she's a single mom with more than a little snark in her, and they've got a possibly-angsty as-yet-undetermined past...)

2) Sara/Grissom. Geek mating rituals, omg!

3) Sara/Nicky. The cuteness kills me dead in totally unexplained ways!

Ritual stoning may now commence.

Oh, Medie, I love you and have missed our ridiculously long comment!spam!! It's probably a good thing that livejournal restrains our comment limits or we'd go on for pages. Actually, that would be awesome too. *GRINS*

Warrick/OFC FBI Agent. Scandalize Grissom :-p

Scandalize Grissom? I think this is one of those things that I haven't yet seen in my first-and-second-season world. Oh well! :)

It's absolutely one of the best written friendships on screen and I keep wanting to grab people and say "don't you know how rare as hen's teeth that is?!!!"

I know I know I know!!!! And I'm LOVING how Catherine's husband keeps insinuating that she and Grissom are together, and neither of them even bats an eye. I just saw the scene where he throws her husband off her all RAR PROTECTION RAR, and I just about died of joy. I mean, I love anything that gets a rise out of Grissom, but zomg. IT IS SUCH GLEEE!

However, CSI does manage to be a little heavy-handed with it's "evil" characters... Catherine's husband is at least honestly a bastard loser in a believable way, but Eckley is just... cartoony. It's so funny.

And back to friendship... I LOVE TV FRIENDSHIPS!!! It's like... I should be a slasher, because I most love watching guy's guy friendships (like O'Brien and Bashir on DS9 and Nicky and Warrick on CSI) but I really really don't want them to do sex. It's possible this is just heteronormative of me... but guy-best-friends don't always have sex with each other! Really, they don't! And I just like some of these pairings better without sex and unrequited lust and stuff.

This comment-spam I believe outdoes most comment-spams that have gone before by sheer volume and need to split replies due to character limits, because I've been answering you all day! :)

*ponders* Omg! I totally answered this one already, but LJ ate it, and I think I copied it to a word file at home. Never mind! I will retrieve it when I get home. Because there was squealing. A lot. Yay :)

I need CSI icons!

I am home now! And found my comment from last night! I was so tired I apparently forgot to post it. ;)

.....

We clearly rule at it and all should try to emulate our spamminess (while sekritly weeping in dismay at the fact they'll never be this awesome *G*)

Their awesomeness is INSUFFICIENT! Take that, rest of livejournal. ;)

Grissom *REALLY* hates the FBI.

There was that one episode when the Feddies showed up and were all declaring the case solved right and left and everyone's all "But! We haven't! Wha?" And I just saw that episode where Sara was all "I AM RUNNING AWAY AND JOINING THE FBI," so I suppose that threat makes more sense now that I know that he's especially opposed to them.

it's so damn hard to get a real rise out of Grissom with anything but man, that one he was just...I *squealed*. It was just a scene that hits all my kinks and Grissom mad is just rare as rare gets and it's so *HOT* when he lets himself react.

I squeal just thinking about it! OMG. Grissom all pissed off and defending someone is just... MORE, PLZ. I waaaant to know the history with him and her and her marriage, dammit! All I know is that he somehow knew Eddie was cheating on her and didn't say, so I was all "oh, he must've been friends with her ex" and now I have no idea. I am totally loving it all through my ignorance, though!

The writers were *CONSTANTLY* going "Blah, blah, me, stripper, single mother, eddie, blah, blah..."

I know! It's kind of a wonder that she manages to get up in the shift-specific-morning and get any work done with all the baggage she's carrying around. It would be nice to see her... get over it. And not just in a shut-UP-already! sort of way, but to see her go "you know, I think I'm done being defensive/vitimized/traumatized by X and am ready for the next thing." I think she's just as drawn to and fascinated by Grissom's apparent serenity as he is to her emotional impulsiveness. Like... neither of them quite know what to do with that part of the other, but recognize that they're missing it, and so find it mostly fascinating and a little infuriating. :) Friendship tehr0xx0rz!! :)
