I think he may even have gone so far as to cheat on her to break them up or something, it was rather ODD, but the idea holds that he'd at least make it really really hard for himself to get what he wants ;)

It'll totally creep the heck out of him, too, that she can see exactly what he's doing, because he thinks he's soooooo unreadable and subtle.

Oh, definitely. He will consider her EVIL and a mind reader and get totally freaked out (but also incredibly turned on, because she is just too hot, especially when she knows him so fucking well).

What *he'll* need patience for is her doing the whole "I-don't-need-you" overindependence thing. She's also afraid of dependence, just reacts differently.
