today, it is a knitting blog

I finished the never-ending sweater of neverendingness!! I still can't believe it took this long -- it's not that complicated -- but I suppose the extended mono of doom is a valid excuse.

The gleee and relief lasted about 8 seconds, and then I went "oh, crap. *Now* what am I going to do?"

I think socks next. Or baby stuff, for all of my friends (and by "all" I mean "two") with new babies or babies-who-will-be-new-in-less-than-a-week. Maybe tomorrow I will go and buy new project goodies.

And, heh, it's actually cold enough in my house right now to warrant wearing a wool sweater. I'd yell "What the heck is up with the freaking weather!?" but I've lived in the Berkshires for a long time and am therefore not that concerned.

'...and then I went "oh, crap. *Now* what am I going to do?"'

I have a suggestion...

I meant *knitting*, but thanks! ;)

You know Karen who wrote all those amazing DRR stories? EMAILED ME! She's on a new DRR kick... I live in hope of new story goodness...

Hm, I don't know Karen, at least, not by the name Karen, I think. The only DRR Karen I remember is Krynn. And I'm not even really sure she was a Karen.

And I too live in hope of new story goodness.

She wrote the stories that got me into DRR to begin with ("Triangle of Three Words" was the one that nailed me to the wall and yelled YOU WILL LOVE THIS PAIRING, WENCH!). Karen is her only pen name, I think. She wasn't on SA at all, though, although she's dogrey's sister.

I am horrified and sad that you missed out on these stories, if you did, but I'm not sure where to find them anymore (since I think The Vision is gone. Or I've forgotten the url). I'll ask.

Ok, yes, I do recall you making me read triangle and then telling me a hundred times afterward that if I haven't read it yet, then I need to. I thought it was ok. Not as good as AFR, but then, what is?
